Going Outside

My favorite tree right now is the mighty oak.

I like to walk trails and roads that have a good mixture of shade and sunlight. Spring is definitely my favorite season - everything smells so alive. I try to watch out for little bugs and beetles so I don't step on them.

Can you imagine being so small? Their lives are so busy and different from ours. I don't know if it's "better" or "worse," it's just a completely different lifestyle. Do you think they notice us like we notice them?

I also like to notice the different types of footprints you can find on trails. I especially enjoy shoe prints that look like peanuts. I like to imagine Mr. Peanut has been hiking around recently.

• Top of the hill or mountain (of course)
• A meadow with just the right amount of sunlight
• Perfect, untouched dew on leaves
• View of a very impressive tree in the middle of a bunch of other, smaller trees
• Sunrise over tall grass
• Sunset through trees
